Supporting Little Voices

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to express themselves confidently and connect with the world around them. Our paediatric services are designed with this in mind, focusing on each child’s unique needs, and always involving their family as part of the journey.

We take a holistic approach, looking at the whole child, their communication, their challenges, their strengths, and the environment they grow up in. Whether it’s a little one just starting to speak or a school-aged child struggling with reading, we’re here to help every step of the way.

💬 Speech and Language Delays in Preschoolers

Some children take a little longer to develop speech and language and that’s okay. We work with children who are late talkers, or who have known conditions like:

  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Down Syndrome
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Cleft lip and/or palate

Through play-based, child-centred therapy, we support early communication, vocabulary, sentence building, and understanding of language, setting a strong foundation for future learning.

🗣️ Articulation and Phonology (Speech Sound Disorders)

Does your child say “wabbit” instead of “rabbit”? Are they struggling to make certain sounds, or do they have a lisp? Speech sound disorders can make it hard for others to understand your child and that can impact confidence and social skills.

We help with:

  • Articulation difficulties (like lisps or sound substitutions)
  • Phonological delays (patterns of errors like dropping final sounds)
  • Children with cleft lip and/or palate who need extra support with speech clarity

📚 Language and Learning Difficulties in School-Age Children

For children struggling with reading, spelling, understanding instructions, or using language to express themselves, we offer support that bridges the gap between speech therapy and academic performance.

We work with all children, including those with ADD and ADHD, to:

  • Build vocabulary and sentence structure
  • Improve comprehension and storytelling skills
  • Strengthen reading, phonics, and spelling
  • Develop attention and memory strategies for learning success

🍼 Feeding and Swallowing Support

Feeding isn’t always easy especially for children with medical or developmental conditions. Whether it’s difficulty swallowing safely, picky eating, or sensory-based food aversions, we’re here to help.

We work with children of all ages, including those with:

  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Down Syndrome
  • Autism
  • Cleft lip and/or palate

Our approach is family-focused, gentle, and based on building positive mealtime experiences.

💨 Fluency Disorders (Stuttering)

Stuttering can be frustrating for children and their families. We support:

  • Young children just starting to stutter
  • Older children and teens who have more established stuttering patterns

Our goal is not just fluent speech it’s confident communication. We tailor therapy to each child’s age, personality, and goals.

A Family-Centred Approach

At Laura Cramb Speech Therapy Inc, parents and caregivers are a key part of the therapy process. We keep you involved, informed, and empowered because the best results happen when we work as a team.

Whether your child needs help finding their first words, saying their sounds clearly, or succeeding in school we’re here, with expert care and a whole lot of heart.

Let’s help your little one thrive — one word, one step, one smile at a time.
